On a sweltering afternoon in July 1937, news reporter John Steadman is summoning up the courage to propose to his girlfriend Stella in St Paul’s. Seconds later, a man falls to his death – killing a priest in the process. Did he jump or was he pushed? Two days later a series of grim packages start arriving at the Daily News. Body parts and cryptic clues to the identity of the next victim – him. As if that wasn’t enough, Stella is missing and an unwelcome face from the past turns up to wreak revenge on past humiliations. Johnny must put his own life on the line as he attempts to bring a twisted killer to justice.
